Honeywell Sr Advanced Project Engineer in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico

Be part of a team assessing and driving achievement of program specific performance within Honeywell Aerospace. You will partner with world class engineering's and leaders to implement product strategies, develop program schedules and milestones, define technology roadmaps, and drive improvements in engineering quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and Milestone development/management

  • Customer relationships

  • Understand technology

  • Estimation development and analysis

  • Cost development

  • Budget analysis

  • Metric development/reporting

  • Risk/OPP development and management

  • Vendor interface

  • Project Performance

Up to 10% travel may be expected

US PERSON

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the Sciences, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics

  • 6+ years of experience in project engineering, engineering development or other related roles

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget

  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies

  • Experience in risk management, problem-solving and cost account management

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills (Fluent)

WE VALUE

  • Technical leadership to a cross discipline, cross site team

  • Experience working within Honeywell’s system development processes for electronic controllers

  • Working knowledge of Honeywell’s requirement development tools and processes including DOORS and ClearCase/ClearQuest

  • Advanced level knowledge of APU control systems and control components

  • Create, support and enhance specific action plans

  • Promote customer relationships

  • Experience in electronic assembly fabrication

  • Program management skills

  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.

  • Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.

  • Demonstrated Earned Value Management skills
