Summary of Duties:
Performs technical tasks which are routine or well-prescribed, following established methods and procedures
Provides design-drafting and details
Contributes to technical designs and documentation
Uses CAD models to create standard views, section views, and detail views
Recommends new ideas and concepts
Quality of task completion may impact project outcome
May perform other duties as assigned
Performs multiple tasks in parallel
Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment
Takes actions necessary to stop work when an unsafe condition or action is identified
Every employee has the right and responsibility to stop work when unsafe conditions or actions are identified
You Must Have:
US Citizenship needed to obtain and maintain required US Dept of Energy "Q" level security clearance.
High school diploma or GED
One (1) or more years' of directly-applicable CAD drafting experience, to include experience with SolidWorks.
Entry level knowledge of computer-aided design tools normally acquired through technical training and/or a BST or BS degree in appropriate field or equivalent training and experience.
Ability to work without supervision
Strong attention to detail
Ability to perform component research.
Experience with SOLIDWORKs/PDM
Knowledgeable of Drawing Requirements Manual or equivalent
Experience with other CAD software
