Honeywell Applications Engineer - Software in Alpharetta, Georgia

Use your extensive subject matter expertise to influence customers toward Intelligrated solutions. You will analyze project opportunities and help determine the appropriate software solution to meet the application. You will consult both external and internal resources/customers; and will help Honeywell teams develop and maintain the right product messaging as it pertains to the specified software offerings. You will work with our offering management, professional services, and software development teams to establish timelines, project plans, description of operations/statement of works, and estimated costs associated with the determined software solution. You will foster cross-functional alignment to customer needs. You will participate in strategy planning, and customer negotiations/presentations. You may consult prospective users on product capability. You may provide valuable input for software offering development.

Key Responsibilities

· Engage in customer-facing activities

· Analyze project opportunities to apply software offering

· Analyze software offering development needs

· Coach on targeted software offering value propositions

· Solicit and compile software solution costs for opportunities

· Analyze timeline and cost estimates to ensure applicable and accurate

· Craft well defined description of operations/statement of works

· Support proposal and pricing activities

· Present technical sales briefings to customers (internal and external)

· Develop and champion best-in-class software solutioning and application training

· Coordinate engineering support of pursuits

· Provide data for sales collateral

Help develop/train fellow team members in new/emerging software offerings and/or specialized applications


· Bachelor's degree, or equivalent.

· 5+ years material handling industry experience, specialized in software application


· Demonstrated ability to develop and foster strong customer relationships

· In-depth knowledge of Honeywell and competitor software platforms, products and technologies

· Experience in technical writing and preparation of proposals

· Strong verbal and written communications skills

· Familiarity with industry regulatory requirements and future mandates

· Ability to achieve results through influence in a matrixed-team environment

· Ability to communicate effectively across language and cultural barriers

· Collaboration between team members and cross-functional teams

· Self-driven, flexible, and action with a sense of urgency
