HBS has an exciting opportunity for a Global Smart City Offer Manager. This position will report to the Director – Global Strategy and Product Marketing, and will be responsible for developing market offerings to develop, grow and scale the Global Smart City business.
As the Global Smart City Offer Manager for HBS, you will be challenged to use your market research, and analytical skills to develop Smart City offerings that will meet the market needs and help achieve the organization’s business and financial goals. This person will work closely with the key stakeholders, influencers and decision makers to help develop the business case, offering strategy and roadmap for Smart Cities. He/she will work closely with the Product, Technology and Engineering teams to successfully execute the offering strategy and launch plan meeting budget and timeline goals while ensuring that the offerings are evolving as per the market needs and meeting commitments outlined in the business case. The ideal candidate will use his/her experience to coach and mentor a sales force of regionally embedded Business Consultants to launch the offerings into the respective regional markets.
This position interfaces with the Global Marketing and Strategy teams for HBS/HBT, Honeywell Technology Organization and the Honeywell Building Solutions sales teams on financials, processes, operational initiatives and core install and service leads, to ensure Smart Cities growth objectives are achieved.
Conduct extensive market research to analyze Smart Cities market trends, understand customer challenges and target market needs.
Analyze the existing portfolio of Smart City offerings, identify gaps and evaluate potential go-to-market partners to complement the existing portfolio or to fill a gap in the portfolio.
Partner with sourcing and legal teams to drive successful partner contract negotiations.
Work with the internal stakeholders, influencers and decision makers to develop and finalize the business case and offer strategy.
Work closely with the Product Management, and Engineering teams to develop market offers.
Articulate the value proposition for the offers and take ownership for developing the marketing collaterals and sales enablement materials.
Working with the pricing team, own and determine the appropriate pricing model and structure to competitively position the offer in the market and help meet revenue goals.
Stay on top of current trends, prepare, maintain, and evangelize the offering roadmap with the regional sales teams.
Develop and execute offering launch plans including training of field sales on the launched market offers.
Work closely with Marketing and Communication teams to develop post sales collaterals including case studies, customer testimonial videos etc.
Continuously monitor offer performance and take a data driven approach to analyze and improve sales pipeline and revenue.
Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for the Smart City offerings, working with the sales/channel and key clients.
Drive thought leadership in the market by publishing blogs, whitepapers and participating in the right industry forums and panels to position and highlight the Honeywell Smart City offers.
MBA from a top tier Institute preferred or equivalent and relevant industry experience.
7-10 years of Product Management and/or Product Marketing experience (preferably from IT/ Enterprise software/Industrial Automation Software industry).
Good knowledge of industry players and experience working in the Smart Cities space is preferred.
Consultative approach to problem solving and customer facing experience in Technology/Solutions businesses (B2B) space is preferred.
Results driven track record with proven experience in developing and commercializing Enterprise software offerings.
Highly organized, a self-starter requiring minimum supervision with strong analytical and logical reasoning capabilities.
Strong project management, communication and presentation skills.
Experience in delivering trainings to sales/delivery teams is highly preferred.
Ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment, and in different geographies around the world.
