What are we looking for?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Territory Sales Manager to join our growing team in our Building Technologies division to be field based covering the following postcodes: NN, SG, MK, PE, LE, HP.

What will you be doing?

  • To develop and increase sales across designated sales area.

  • Identify and exploit specific product sales opportunities across sales area

  • To establish, maintain and develop a long-term business relationship with key customer contacts within the distributor and contractor sector.

  • To establish, build and maintain business relationships with new customer contacts within the distributor and contractor sector

  • To liaise and communicate with other customer facing teams to ensure that the route along the customer chain is clear to deliver final placement of order from Specification and Project wins.

  • Generate and manage an individual contractor projects database for lead generation into the wholesale channel ( Salesforce.com)

  • Take ownership of product ranges within designated sales area.

  • Achievement of business sales and profit targets

  • Accurate forecasting of sales within area

  • Ensure profitable business through price management and negotiation

  • Gather information/market intelligence.

  • Produce and implement individual business plan for sales area.

  • Implement specific and targeted product training programme with key contractor customers

You must have

  • A strong electrical, or mechanical technical understanding required

  • You require experience conducting specification sales

  • You require experience within a sales orientated environment

  • Highly motivated with a strong customer focus, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to present at all levels.

  • The successful person will be working as part of a well-established team and with the autonomy that this role provides, will be expected to use their own initiative

We Value

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com desirable

  • Knowledge of Cable Management, Wiring devices (Plug’s and sockets), Power distribution systems (Underfloor power) products
