Project Management Specialist

Facilitate and support the development of program/project plans, estimates, creation of baseline budgets, and risk assessments.

· Compile cost data, perform analysis, and validation of project costs

· Create and maintain project schedules, compile schedule status, generate metrics and analyze project performance

· Assist in the forecasting process (financial and technical resource planning and utilization analysis)

· Synthesize program management information to facilitate ETC and EAC updates and recommend corrective actions

· Facilitate and coordinate Program Management Reviews/Monthly Project Review

· Prepare and publish data used in management reviews, such as reporting and analysis of HMR, etc.

· Support the program management change management process with respect to assigned programs / projects

· Participate in the development of process improvement plans and support assigned continuous improvement initiatives

· Analyze demand and supply variances (Fill rate) at the department level and work corrective actions

· Coordinate and maintain various tasks related to department budgets. Coordinate with finance to support site based reporting

· Provide financial reporting and analysis at aggregate levels to support effective resource management and maximize execution of engineering projects

· Develop and execute to a robust PP&C MOS

Ensure Aerospace policies, guidelines and procedures are met as they pertain to program PP&C activities

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Accounting, Finance, or relevant discipline
  • Knowledge of resource planning, scheduling, financial data compilation and analysis, metricsreporting, earned value reporting
  • Notable analytical skills and demonstrable skills in applying and using program management tools and financial systems
  • Strong MS Project skills and MS Excel skills
  • Strong oral and written English language communication skills
  • Ability to work with large, remote, and diverse teams in a matrix org.
  • High bias for action and integrative problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills and analytical ability
  • Self – starting mentality, motivated and taking initiative and being able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Extremely reliable, trustworthy and highest ethical standards
  • Interest in working in fast paced, global business environment
WE VALUE
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office including Excel, Access and SharePoint.
  • Experience or training with EVMS principles and corporate financial systems
  • Familiarity with SAP Project Systems and Dassian interface and CAPM or PMP certification
  • Knowledge of the Honeywell Integrated Product Delivery and Support (IPDS) process
  • Knowledge of IT and financial systems preferred (Sales Force, SAP, etc).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly in cross-functional collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and effectively manage priorities
  • Improving performance, meeting commitments, and getting results
  • Exceeding internal and external customer expectations
  • Masters degree and Project Management certification (PMP) preferred.
  • Communication skills sufficient to deal with customer and trades people and Honeywell Project Managers
  • Some experience in project management
