This is an exciting opportunity to be responsible for supporting the development and execution of Travel Category strategies/processes related to global travel services for the Indirect Procurement organization and Honeywell businesses. This individual contributor role ensures compliance in all aspects of travel procedures and includes the continuous drive for improvement of travel programs/suppliers, the handling and overseeing of all Americas Region travel arrangements (air, lodgings etc.), and operations. This role must partner with cross-functional teams to establish a competitive supply base through analyzing/managing suppliers as well as various business risks, liabilities and other constraints.

Position will be required to be based in Charlotte by early 2020.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive alignment between Procurement and

Honeywell's practices, processes and key business deliverables

  • Develop and implement Honeywell's procurement

strategy for the travel spend category in alignment with SBG and regional

needs

  • Partners with cross functional teams to establish

competitive supply base with the aim to drive continuous improvement of the

travel programs/suppliers,

  • Deliver savings, productivity and working

capital

  • Develop and implement category strategy

  • Handles/oversees of all AMER travel

arrangements/OPS

  • Drive cross-SBG synergies and regional best

practices

  • Ensure policy compliance across the region

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree in procurement, supply chain, operations, or business

  • 5+ years of procurement/operational experience, to include include travel services management

WE VALUE

  • Extensive experience in Travel spend category

and/or Supply Management/Sourcing/Procurement

  • Strong managerial and leadership skills to work

across all functions and levels of an organization

  • Strategic thinking skills including an ability to

make sound business judgments related to strategic supply philosophies and

initiatives

  • Technical skills including strong negotiation

skills; excellent knowledge of procurement operations management and supply

chain processes in a large organization

  • Previous leadership experience in a matrix

environment

  • Experience in managing diverse cultures

  • Highly dependable and trustworthy and able to

manage conflicting priorities and deadlines

  • Excellent communication and presentation

skills. Able to communicate to

executive audience

  • Masters Degree
