We are looking for a top-performing Lead Design Engineer to join our elite team who innovate and create the hardware electronics that Aerospace runs on.
We are seeking someone who will work closely with our Platform Center of Excellence team who brings the right experience designing high speed processing and digital electronic circuit cards for Electronic Solutions within Honeywell Aerospace.
This position is in Clearwater, Florida.
This technical design and leadership position will work with our cross functional engineering talent lead the team that create the world’s most advanced avionics.
Help us create the world’s most advanced systems with your embedded processing and computer architecture skills for our global space based electronics for human based or satellite systems, sensors and navigation systems for missiles and interceptors, and a range of aviation safety, cockpit, engine control, and connectivity products and services.
In this visible, leadership and technical role, you will lead, develop, and motivate engineering teams responsible for the design and development of processing platform solutions that enable Aerospace’s products. You will inspire your team to collaborate across Honeywell Aerospace engineering teams to create solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our Aerospace market. You will participate in early phases of product development, dominated by IPDS phases 0-4. You will be the conduit that partners with and influences the trusted experts that create the lowest cost, fastest reliable electronics in Aerospace.

YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Engineering
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in hardware electrical design
Due to export control regulations, this position requires US citizenship status
Master’s degrees in an engineering discipline
Gigabit SerDes design & simulation experience
Experience performing and leading electrical hardware LRU and PBA level requirements development, preliminary and detailed design, design verification, and qualification spanning a high mix of moderately to high complexity commercial, defense, and space products and systems.
Experience designing with modern processing technologies and architectures, high speed physical and wireless communication and interconnect protocols, sensors and guidance electronics, Radio Frequency (RF) and analog circuit, low voltage switching/linear power conversion.
Ensuring our designs meet the industry standards of EMI/EMC of RTCA DO-160, Boeing D6, Airbus ABD, MIL-STD 461, MIL STD-810.
Proficiency with xDX Designer, Hyperlinx, Mathcad, MS Excel, and LTSpice with demonstrated experience designing, simulating and analyzing and demonstrating design performance to requirements
Demonstrated experience performing and leading PBA and box level design verification and qualification. High proficiency in an engineering or production lab with digital oscilloscopes and frequency analyzers.
Understands the lead designers responsibly of effective communication. Clearly and concisely convey subtle or complex messages to a variety of audiences, both written and verbal. Speaks geek, customer, and business.
Someone who can interface with, teach, and set requirements with various system and product design teams around our global company
