The Operations Manager will have accountability for achieving functional goals, establishing financial plans that are consistent with the business needs, and supplying best in class operations. Lead a team of supervisors and professionals, at a non-union facility, who are manufacturing world class products. You will leverage your manufacturing experience and skills to lead some of the world's most talented production teams. You will use your advanced leadership abilities to drive safety, productivity, and exceptional quality. Through collaboration with cross functional teams, you will prioritize team workload and drive continuous improvement. As a manager, you will coach your team members in leadership and behavioral competencies in order to deliver high impact business results.
Deliver on strong site health, safety and environmental performance every day
Drive the work processes and standards to ensure the highest production quality and productivity
Work collaboratively with cross functional leaders to balance your team's capacity with prioritized activities
Development of supervisors
Lead productivity improvement projects
Drive culture of safety and continuous improvement
Collaborate with customers and cross functional teams
Ensure practices and processes are robust
Resource management in a dynamic environment
Ensure plant maintenance program execution
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor Degree or 12 years of manufacturing experience with some leadership
Demonstrated leadership experience in driving productivity and employee engagement
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to influence others and interact effectively with all levels of the organization
Willingness to raise standards each year to drive organizational excellence
Able to quickly learn a new process and make sound/quick judgement calls in ambiguous environment
Track record of improving team performance and work practice through team coaching
Experience leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives
Manufacturing Engineering Experience a plus
Strong internal and external communication and team-building skills.
Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt certification/training a plus
Advanced degree in manufacturing, engineering, or business
Advanced manufacturing knowledge
Demonstrated leadership experience in coordinating and overseeing entry to senior level professionals
Significant leadership experience
Significant Culture change leadership experience
