Honeywell Process Solutions is a business unit within Honeywell that specializes in providing advanced process control software, automation control, instrumentation and outcome-based solutions. Honeywell’s comprehensive portfolio in process control, monitoring, safety systems and instrumentation provides optimized operations efficiencies to meet diverse automation needs. We work with a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, chemicals, power generation, and manufacturing.

Be part of a team assessing and driving achievement of program specific performance within Honeywell Process Solutions within our Compressor Controls Solutions business, a leading provider of turbomachinery control and optimization solutions, including control hardware, software, technologies and services within the Energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Opportunity to gain experience and exposure to many aspects of engineering, with the opportunity to learn and work across engineering disciplines.

  • As a Project Engineer I, you will partner with senior engineers and leaders to develop program cost, schedules and milestones, define technology roadmaps, and drive improvements in engineering quality and productivity.

  • Provide engineering documentation for various projects

  • Perform basic engineering work including control system design, control element calculations and sizing, instrument and buy-out specifications, and product configuration

  • Communicate with customers and other departments as needed to meet project requirements and schedules

  • Generate P&I diagrams for system design

  • May include travel to customer location for field startup, training, and project meetings

  • Coordinate work with manager(s)

  • Learning Technical Skills: You'll have the opportunity to further develop your technical skills by working on engineering designs, calculations, and analysis under the guidance of senior engineers. This hands-on experience will help you gain a deeper understanding of engineering principles and their practical application in projects.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

  • 1+ years of related combination of Academic and/or work experience

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering technical discipline i.e Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Electrical etc

  • Internship, project and/or co-op experience in a related engineering disciplines valuable

  • Project engineering experience and control system and design experience a plus

  • Academic exposure or real world experience related to any of the following a plus - Thermodynamics, controls/instrumentation, Energy industry, physics, basic mechanical/electrical, etc

  • Exposure to analytical and experimental work with turbomachines a plus

  • Familiarity with engineering principles and practices

  • Knowledge of related programming languages (VB, VB-Script)

  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills

  • Moderate travel may be required
