The Major Projects ICT Manager is responsible for the technical oversight and portfolio management of ICT & Cybersecurity scope on high-risk, high-complexity, global major projects. You will be heavily engaged in pre-bid, at project start-up, and key milestones to ensure major projects are bid and delivered credibility, to specification, budget, and schedule. You will identify, recommend, and help implement innovative ideas and tools (eg. Wireless commissioning) to reduce our cost to serve and improve our ability to deliver high quality outcomes in a reduced timeframe.
You will assist in the hiring and leadership of ICT/Cybersecurity project managers, and engineers engaged to deliver major projects involving ICT/Cybersecurity globally. The role will require at minimum 25% travel to ensure appropriate onsite oversight. These Global Projects involve challenging technical, functional and contractual requirements and require a strategic thinker with a proven ability to provide strong leadership, expert technical knowledge and customer relationship management to support the bid team, and local onsite project teams in achieving desired Project outcomes.
The incumbent will work closely with the project teams and their GBE ICT and Cybersecurity peers to provide guidance and technical leadership to a team of multi-skilled internal and external ICT specialists, including software developers, systems engineers, network engineers, and integration engineers as well as ensure effective management of Global vendor standardisation to ensure success in a diverse and complex Project environment.
Prepare, negotiate, and forecast a client’s needs, and use questioning strategies to direct and achieve preferred outcomes.

Formal Project Management training and/or certificationDemonstrated experience in the delivery of large scale, multi-year, complex ICT, Application Development and Integration Projects ($1m-$10m) to external customers.Demonstrated leadership experience in the directing and managing of specialist multi-skilled technical and professional staff within a diverse and complex Project environment.Proven experience in Project management including budget ownership/management, resource allocation, scheduling, forecasting and planning.Demonstrated experience delivering Projects following the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model.
Ability to foster good relationships, work independently and in collaboration with global teams
