As a Manufacturing Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing operations and driving operational excellence. You will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient manufacturing processes, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, design, and maintenance, to ensure the efficient and cost-effective production of our products. With your expertise and leadership, you will contribute to enhancing our manufacturing operations, reducing costs, and ensuring the highest level of product quality for Honeywell.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide manufacturing support for sealed/operator controlled switch product lines

  • Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability, product health trends and drive yield improvements

  • Utilize Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices

  • Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis. Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions

  • Support knowledge for production and test equipment. Develop standard and local work instructions

  • Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve Safety, Quality and Delivery goals

  • Research and specify equipment to replace or upgrade production capabilities

  • Redesign and develop fixtures and tooling for improved production

    U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics

  • 5+ years experience in production/manufacturing industry.

  • Quickly and accurately identifying subtle interrelationships and patterns among a variety of problems and issues (process and data correlation of cause/effect across value stream)

  • Conveying information with clarity and directness, ensuring the message is understood across diverse teams. Root Cause Corrective Action / Lean / Six Sigma

  • Eagerness to get involved in hands-on work

  • Experience with computer assisted drafting/design programs (Autocad, MiniTab and Labview preferred)
