Honeywell Operational Excellence Specialist in Freeport, Illinois

As an Operational Excellence Specialist here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and enhancing overall business performance within our Industrial Automation (IA) division. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, develop strategies, and implement initiatives to optimize operational processes and drive continuous improvement. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional results and ensuring operational excellence within the organization. You will report directly to the Director of Operations Excellence and be embedded in our Freeport, IL location. In this role, you will impact cost savings, improved quality, increased customer satisfaction, and the overall efficiency of our sensing solutions operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify operational gaps and develop strategies to address them.

• Drive operational excellence initiatives to optimize processes and enhance business performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational goals and objectives.

• Analyze data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Develop and implement best practices, standard operating procedures, and performance metrics.

• Lead and facilitate process improvement projects, utilizing methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.

• Provide guidance and support to teams in implementing process changes and driving continuous improvement.

• Monitor and track key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of operational excellence initiatives.

• Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management.

YOU MUST HAVE

• 2+ years of proven experience in driving operational excellence and process improvement initiatives.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

• Ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
