We are looking for an exceptional Sr. Firmware Engineer to be part of our Architecture and Innovation group whose dream is to live on the cutting edge of technology and ideate new connected products that have a big impact on the organization. Your role will be to:

  • Work collaboratively with a global team to create and execute research and development programs related to Internet of Things
  • Develop new ideas that make Honeywell’s products to become connected and delightful to use.
  • Implement original and ground-breaking ideas for IoT systems for Intelligent Buildings.
  • Build deep relationships with senior engineering and marketing leadership within the organization to get strategy alignment.
  • Design and demonstrate proof of concept prototypes for smart edge devices for HVAC control systems, Fire Systems, and Building Security systems by working with a cross-functional team consisting of experts from wireless, mobile & cloud apps, location services and analytics.
  • Participate in deep technical discussions of various new ideas to identify the best solution for the customer.
  • Conduct and/or participate in voice of customer meetings with the prototypes to get end-user feedback and iterate to develop best solution.
  • Participate in and drive the definition of new platforms and standards both internally and in external standards organizations.

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree.

We Value:

  • Strong experience in the design and development embedded products, wireless sensor networks or machine-to-machine (M2M) communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience developing firmware for embedded systems
  • Solid understanding of Building Automation Systems
  • Experience with communication network technologies eg BLE, LoRA, NB-IOT, low-power WiFi
  • Experienced in both RTOS based and non-RTOS based firmware systems.
