The Technical Training Specialist will be responsible for delivering the HBS Technician New Hire Training Initiative.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Extensive, blended training curriculum.
  • The development of effective (valid and reliable) skills assessments and knowledge assessments. Perform assessment of student skills by conducting the tests, observing hands-on performances, and inspecting student projects.
  • Regional offices which need to conduct student assessments locally.
  • Online testing solutions as appropriate.
  • Prepare, construct, and maintain teaching equipment, including hardware (such as controllers, alarms, sensors, cameras, etc…) and PC loads.
  • Training courses for Honeywell Building Solutions employees, partners, and customers. Classes may take the form of classroom, live online classes, or recorded classes. Classes may be held at the Golden Valley Training Center, regional offices or client sites.
  • In-depth domain knowledge, product expertise, and knowledge of industry practices.
  • With a wide variety of functional teams within Honeywell, such as product development, technical support, solution design, product marketing, and delivery organizations to support product launches and enable field personnel skill effectiveness. Proactively develop collaborative relationships with these areas.
  • Training Center operations in whatever capacity necessary.
  • Represent Honeywell and Training Center in all interactions with customers and business partners.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of experience with professional certifications.
  • 5 years of professional experience in a related technical domain or in technical training.
WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Domain knowledge in disciplines related to HVAC, Fire & Life Safety, or Security & Access Control. Experience in Honeywell systems (such as EBI, CARE, DVM, FS90, XLS1000, Tridium, XBS, etc.). Knowledge of industry standards and protocols such as LON, BACNet, NICET, UL Fire Systems, etc.
  • Degree in engineering or IT a plus. Experience and/or certification in network, database, scripting, or related technologies (MS or Java).
  • Motivated and dedicated professional. Resourceful, with ability to work and learn independently where necessary.
  • Learn and develop professional training skills. Willing to do what it takes to meet internal and external customer needs. Ability to travel, and handle evening & weekend work hours as needed.
  • Strong communication, presentation, problem solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and ability to multitask.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web tools.
