This role will be part of the IT End User Computing team and will grow and drive a consistent scale-out infrastructure environment to provide a platform for Windows deployments, develop the technical environment for deployments, and certify that the deployments are working as designed.

The incumbent will engage with key stakeholders, functional peers, and other IT groups to be able to provide a fully managed Windows-as-a-service environment that will improve customer satisfaction by ensuring a secure working environment. Aligning Honeywell's business strategy with the right technology and architecture to achieve its goals. This includes evaluating contemporary technologies and platforms to determine whether they would be the right fit for the Honeywell requirements.

Delivery of architecture to integrate new technologies and platforms into Honeywell's digital ecosystem, including integration of Intune. Will work with industry-leading partners, like Microsoft and others, to ensure a continuous evolution process by using cutting-edge solutions that are being reviewed, implemented, and adopted.

Job Summary:

As a Lead IT Engineer in End User Compute Team at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency across various industries. You are responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of all approved solutions development projects, collaborating on the deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise solutions, and driving the adoption of technology platforms and design principles. This role requires a deep understanding of systems engineering and architecture and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders. The successful candidate will foster a collaborative and innovative team environment to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the IT systems that support core organizational functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Project Delivery:

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of all approved solutions development projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations in coordination with project managers and other stakeholders.

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Coordinate and prioritize team tasks to ensure project deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

  • Facilitate communication between IT, business units, and external partners to ensure successful project outcomes.

  1. Enterprise Solutions Deployment and Maintenance:
  • Collaborate with IT teams and business units on the deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise solutions.

  • Ensure that solutions are integrated effectively into the existing IT infrastructure.

  • Oversee the testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of deployed solutions. Administration of client-related settings, configuration items, baseline modeling, collections, and deployments.

  • Backup/restore Intune and related environment for the Windows services.

  1. Technology Adoption and Design Principles:
  • Design, enhancement, and implementation of the End User Computer platform and infrastructure to support the requirements of the business with an eye for continual improvement and innovation.

  • Drive the adoption of technology platforms and design principles across the organization.

  • Oversee the integration of new technologies into existing systems.

  • Promote best practices and standards for systems engineering and architecture, and IT operations.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their adoption to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and service records.

  1. Strategic Planning:
  • Identify emerging technology trends and evaluate their potential impact on the company.

  • Contribute to the development of IT strategies and roadmaps that support business goals.

  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the IT landscape.

  • Lead initiatives to implement new technologies and processes that enhance organizational performance.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology

  • 5+ years of combined experience in the management, administration, and architecture of Windows and Windows MDM tools (Intune/SCCM)

  • Supported between at least 15000 – 200,000 devices in an enterprise environment.

  • Deep knowledge of systems engineering and enterprise solutions

  • Microsoft EMS (Intune, Autopilot & Azure AD), incl. integration with Auto Pilot

  • Proficiency with server, storage, and network virtualization technologies.

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)

  • Must have scripting skills

  • Experience with Power Bi and/or other reporting tools

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
