Be part of a team that is defining Honeywell's products. You will leverage your CAD experience and skills to transform initial rough product designs into working documents, and modify existing designs to improve the product. By applying established standards, guidelines and specifications, you will ensure the quality of the engineering drawings and models, and participate in the design review process.
Primary owner of mechanical, electro-mechanical, and optical-mechanical parts drawing and BOMs for multiple product lines
Perform drawing updates and create new drawings of mechanical components and sub-assemblies as needed
Implement the ECO to ECN process. Responsible for updating Engineering BOMs and drawings and releasing to Manufacturing ERP system
Primary owner of part number creation
· Perform inspection of incoming mechanical components as needed
Certified CAD designer
Associates Degree in drafting and design from accredited university
5 years of experience with CAD design
5 years of experience with SolidWorks
2+ years of experience with GD&T methodology
5 years of experience with MS Office (Excel, Word)
Experience with Team Center
5 years of experience with Windchill Work Group Manager (WGM)
Experience with SAP (or other ERP application like JD Edwards) a plus
Strong attention to detail; Excellent documentation and organizational skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to independently manage time and assigned tasks; Able to handle multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment
Working knowledge in the use of tape measure, calipers, and micrometers
Able to read and interpret technical documents such as mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams
Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred
