Honeywell Cyber Security Analyst I in Kansas City, Missouri

Summary

The Cyber Analyst I assists in security administration, data analytics and event monitoring. Analyst I will independently establish system security documentation, assisting with the implementation of security procedures, and verify information system security requirements. Stay current with system vulnerabilities and provide basic security training to system users. Design, implement and test state-of-the-art secure security systems, networks, and database solutions. Provide technical support, execute requests and answer general how to questions in a high security environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in Preparing and assuring the implementation of cyber security policies and procedures, conducts investigations of unusual incidents involving cyber security issues

  • Assists in planning and coordinating the access controls to allow authorized personnel or visitor access to restricted electronic records, materials, or areas

  • Assists in planning, developing, coordinating and presenting cyber security awareness training and education for cyber security operations, evaluates training program effectiveness, conducts job task analysis, security audits, surveys, and special studies

  • Assist in developing written documentation of Cyber Security, Telecommunications Security, and local procedures

  • Assists in coordinating with DOE to obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations and orders

  • Represents team in meetings with internal/external customer base

  • Recommends and/or implements policies and procedures in support of management objectives

  • Assists in developing and facilitating internal communications which may include processing and distribution of information through communications services

  • May perform other duties as required

You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, a related discipline, or two additional years of direct work experience in lieu of bachelor's degree.

  • Minimum 0-2 years experience in a cyber security environment.

  • US Citizenship, capable of obtaining & maintaining appropriate government security clearance.
