Honeywell Lead Project Manager, Change/Transition Management in Kansas City, Missouri

Job Description

This position will report within Mission Assurance Performance Excellence / Improvement, an organization responsible for the acceleration of Product Realization performance improvement, both internally and externally, building NSE unity and support. The optimal candidate will help create, apply, and mature Change/Transition Management (TM) capability across KCNSC and the NSE. They will support MOS Design, Execution, and Maturity for internal functional customers by leveraging standard methodologies, to help sustain process improvements and implementation efforts. In addition, the candidate will support external initiatives and best practice adoption through benchmarking and collaboration.

  • Application and maturation of Change/Transition Management (TM) capability across KCNSC and the NSE, supporting internal and external cultural & change management initiatives, by leveraging the NSE Performance Excellence Team.

  • Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement, leveraging LSS/Total Experience (TX) principles.

  • Cultural Transition – Supporting internal and external cultural initiatives, by leveraging the KCNSC Learning Strategy Committee and the NSE Performance Excellence Team

  • Benchmarking & Collaboration - Supporting external initiatives and best practice adoption through the NSE Working Groups (NSE Performance Excellence, PICWG, SMWG, etc.)

  • Support enhancement and tailored functional applications of the KCNSC Management Operating Systems, currently focusing on design, execution and maturity resulting in enhanced execution performance

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Integrates customer needs with business competencies to drive accelerated performance improvement.

  • Responsible for processes, and systems associated with the Transition Management (TM) MOS design, execution, and maturity.

  • Fosters effective working relationships and systems across business segments to ensure business-wide focus, consistency, and accountability.

  • Manages relationships with functional counterparts in industry and the parent corporation to leverage contemporary Lean / Six Sigma / Total User Experience (TX) and related systems, processes, and tools.

  • Integrates business requirements to meet the needs of core and emerging programs.

  • Executes strategic and tactical Lean / Six Sigma improvement activities across the business enterprise.

  • Completes gap analysis assessments; drives appropriate industry best practices throughout the business

  • Assures individual project accomplishments and overall work unit effectiveness are achieved relative to committed objectives.

  • Drives continual operational alignment of project management excellence with strategic goals.

  • May lead KCNSC or NSE-wide programs and activities to standardize and execute best business processes.

  • May own, develop, and provide leadership for execution of business training and development across the organization and, potentially, across elements of the NSE.

You Must Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Scientific, or Business-related field.

  • Seven or more years of experience in engineering, product management, User/Customer Experience, business, and/or other related Continuous Improvement activities.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of Change/Transition Management, User/Customer Experience (UX), Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Project or program management processes, principles, and architecture with progressive history of responsibility.

  • Integration of multiple, complex business processes.

  • Ability to interpret, negotiate and capture customer requirements.

  • Proven excellence in effective communication, interactive presentations, and negotiation skills.

  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and lead project management personnel and other staff in a matrixed management environment.
