Honeywell Quality Supervisor - 2nd shift in Kansas City, Missouri

Summary

Supervises bargaining unit inspection personnel in evaluating the quality of materials and products. Role model for Kansas City Division's core values.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Directly supervises employees and performs other managerial responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.• Interfaces effectively with DOE, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering and other support organizations.• Utilizes and motivates employees to obtain maximum output in terms of quality and performance.• Develops and trains employees in product inspection and conformance to specifications.• Evaluates methods of inspection and suggests necessary improvements.• Coordinates inspection schedules to meet priorities and arranges for disposition of material.• Implements quality policies and delegates and disseminates instructions to staff.• Promotes and supports continuous improvement and employee involvement activities.• Exhibits and practices a personal commitment to operational surety and instills the same attitude in operational personnel.• Assures compliance to and encourages employee involvement in Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H) activities, security policies, good housekeeping, and cost effectiveness; Takes actions necessary to stop work when an unsafe condition or action is identified.

You Must Have

• US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain DOE Q level security clearance.• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience, or Associate degree and 3 years of related experience, or HS diploma/certification and 4 years of related experience.

• Established and working knowledge of current FM&T quality assurance/quality inspection processes.• Understanding of MES.• Familiarity with PeopleSoft MRP applications.• Ability to access, understand, interpret, and act on data.• Experience identifying and acting on continuous improvement initiatives.• Green Belt certified.• History of applying standard Six Sigma tools.• Familiar with principles of the Honeywell Operating System (HOS).• Experience interacting with union employees and representatives.• Evidence of ability to coach, mentor, develop and discipline people.FMT2021
