Honeywell Sr HSE Engineer in Lincolnshire, Illinois

As a Sr HSE Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental engineering efforts within the Industrial Automation (IA) Strategic Business Group (SBG). You will play a critical role in fostering a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility within the organization. Your expertise in HSE engineering will contribute to the overall success and reputation of our business as a responsible and sustainable organization.

In this role, you will impact our organization by developing and implementing comprehensive HSE strategies that align with the organization's mission, ensuring a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility. You will also ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, permits, and certifications. Your ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards, provide engineering solutions, and promote environmental sustainability will contribute to the overall resiliency and sustainability of our business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies that align with the organization's mission, ensuring a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, permits, and certifications. • Identify and mitigate potential hazards, providing engineering solutions and preventive measures.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans for HSE-related incidents.

  • Promote environmental sustainability by implementing eco-friendly practices and minimizing the environmental impact of the organization's operations.

  • Collaborate with various internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, training, and education on HSE matters.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 1+ years of experience in HSE Engineering.

  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.

WE VALUE:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field.

  • Certification in HSE or a related field is a plus..
