Honeywell Proposal Writer in Markham, Ontario

Building Solutions is actively recruiting for a Proposal Writer to join our team in Markham, ON.

Working closely with the

Canadian sales team, the Proposal Writer will lead the development of RFP/RFI responses,

and other sales-related documents. In

addition to writing compelling content, you will be expected to manage the end-to-end

proposal development process from solicitation release to final document


Other responsibilities


  • Maintain and update proposal content library

  • Assist with developing sales tools, brochures, marketing and client-specific materials, to support growth objectives

  • Perform competitive analysis and marketing research, as required

  • Support other assignments, as required


  • University or Community College graduate, preferably English, Communications or Marketing

  • 5 years’ experience in a proposal development role

  • 5 years’ experience in business and technical writing, proofing and editing

  • APMP certified or actively pursuing certification

  • Advanced Microsoft Word skills


  • Marketing background

  • Proficiency writing concise, persuasive, and cohesive content

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Keen attention to detail, and exceptional organization and time management skills

  • Ability to lead and work effectively in a diverse team environment

  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe software such as Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, OneNote,

  • OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Illustrator, In-Design, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro
