Advanced Software Engineer

Advanced Software Engineer for Intelligrated Services, LLC in Mason, OH

Responsibilities:

Develop complex project and standard library PLC (programmable logic controller) code.

Design and set up Ethernet IP network configurations (including screens, reports and HMI - Human Machine Interface).

Maintain and track issues and report progress as requested.

Participate in PLC code reviews and audits, and participate in executing test plans on site, which includes both internal and customer acceptance testing.

Work on developing system architecture, operation descriptions, functional specifications and interfacing documents for equipment.

Required to monitor project phasing and adhere to project specifications while maintaining as sold scope.

Assign resources tasks for on-site commissioning as well as maintain the site resource plans.

Assist with training the client to facilitate project turnover. Review the client Scope of Work/ Request for Proposal/ Request for Quote and communicate and resolve all internal and customer reported issues.

Required to attend weekly team meetings, review scheduled tasks, and report project progress on a regular basis.

Required to manage project budgets ($3M average budget) and report monthly.

Location: Mason, OH

40 hours/week

YOU MUST HAVE:

Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science or related field and five (5) years of relevant experience. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in the stated fields and three (3) years of relevant experience. Full term of experience must include: extensive knowledge of Material Handling Equipment including high speed merging, high speed sorting, accumulation conveyors, VFD's, barcode scanners, HMI’s; Additional Minimum Requirements include: Highly skilled at creating complex PLC code using Rockwell Studio software. Ability to communicate complex concepts to the customer and other engineers using verbal and written communications. Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) times per week. Approximately 50% domestic/international travel required.
