Our team develops new or modifies processes, defines process equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of Ring Laser Gyroscope and MEMS based inertial sensors and IMUs.

As an Sr Advanced Manufacturing Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace, you will influence the planning and designing of manufacturing processes. You will determine equipment and tools needed by the team to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification for both existing and new processes. You will maximize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Support daily production activities and drive producibility improvement projects for new products in a challenging environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide test and manufacturing support for Ring Laser Gyro (RLG) and Tactical Guidance Products (TGP) production.

  • Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability, product health trends and drive yield improvements.

  • Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.

  • Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis. Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions.

  • Assist development of new products.

  • Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow.

  • Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

MUST HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics

• 5+ years experience
