This role reports to the Global Supply Chain Director for a business segment within Advanced Materials and looks globally across the supply chain network to plan, schedule, and monitor materials movements to satisfy customer demands. You would lead the supply planning portion of the business SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) process to reach consensus on manufactured and purchased volume commitments, while also escalating and resolving capacity constraints in partnership with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics. You would be accountable for setting replenishment strategies and controlling inventory of critical raw materials and finished goods to ensure on-time customer shipments while reducing working capital requirements. The scope includes annual strategic planning for 3 year horizon and monthly planning cycle for rolling 18 month period.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead monthly SIOP supply planning process, including translation of demand plan into feasible supply plan requirements
Capacity planning (equipment, materials supply, contract manufacturers)
Identify and escalate materials constraints with procurement for resolution
Set inventory replenishment strategy for assigned materials, including target inventory levels
Forecast and control inventory at planned levels
Drive inventory optimization projects to support working capital initiatives
Maintain accurate supply and inventory plans in our system of record
Maintain and optimize material master data for wide product portfolio of >6000 SKUs across multiple manufacturing and distribution warehouse locations
Optimize cost through make vs buy decisions and distribution network planning
Partner with logistics and procurement on lead time reductions
Detailed scheduling and execution support as needed including transactional workload and logistics support on order and delivery management
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or business related field
5 years of experience working with manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics operations
Strong knowledge and experience with MS Excel and Powerpoint applications
Good knowledge and experience with SAP and Advanced Planning and Scheduling tools (SAP APO or similar)
