The Project Control Specialist is responsible for assisting the Honeywell Project Managers (PM) in the successful implementation of Energy Projects by coordinating and monitoring on-site work activities performed primarily through subcontractors. This position will assist with the management of the overall relationship with the customer including technical or logistical issues that may arise with the implementation of the project plan. Primary function will be to interface with the Project Manager and customer to manage subcontractors efficiently and effectively complete the project on time and with a satisfied customer. Good communication skills are required as this individual will have interaction with the Project Manager, subcontractors, the owner’s representative and ultimately the facility operators. This position will require a good understanding and knowledge of construction and construction activities. This person will be required to read and interpret blueprints and understand trade terms and industry standards. Microsoft Project will be utilized to track construction progress and to accurately forecast revenue for the job.General Responsibilities include:• Keeping projects on schedule • Reviews all job contract documents for requirements and flow downs• Implementing and monitoring project schedules• Maintaining project meeting minutes and distribution• Reporting project progress to the Project Manager• Evaluates subcontractorperformance against requirements• Assist with commissioning and record keeping of Energy Control Measures• Assemble project closeout documents and warranties• Witness pre and post-test measurements

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • 2 year technical degree in engineering or construction management
  • 2 years’ experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Project
WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred) or will consider Electrical Engineering or Construction Management
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proficient understanding of the principles and best practices in customer service
  • Excellent team and communication skills to work and effectively communicate with customer, trades people and Honeywell Project Managers
  • Ability to accept assignments which require frequent travel and overnight stays
  • An ability to take initiative and work with limited direction
