The Strategic Planning Manager (Strategic Marketing Manager) is responsible for leading and managing strategic planning, new product introductions, and B2B marketing campaigns for product line(s) sold globally within the Honeywell Fine Chemicals business. He/she will work with the team to identify, document and execute a growth strategy for the product line(s) in addition to driving productivity & portfolio improvements. The role will focus on Voice of the Customer discussions to discern customer segments, economics [willingness to pay and cost to serve], and competitive dynamics. He/she will develop offerings for each target segment and define the go-to-market approach including channel, positioning, and pricing. The successful candidate will be responsible for short and long-term strategic planning of their assigned portfolio which includes commercial strategy, new product pipeline management, and business justification for strategic investments. The successful candidate will work closely with offering management, marketing communications, strategic marketing, R&D, supply chain, Field Sales organization, key business partners and the senior management team to maximize the growth, development and return on investment of the business today and in the future. Bottom line, they own the planning and delivery of revenue and margin growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Strategic Planning (STRAP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP)

  • Sales pipeline and new product introduction pipeline management

  • VOC; understand market sizing, segmentation; understand value elements critical to customers; calculate value equations; target value propositions to customer segments

  • Marketing campaign management

  • Supports sales team with key customer contract negotiations & training

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in product management, sales, marketing, strategy, or similar role.

  • An undergraduate degree in a STEM field or Business / Marketing.

  • A history of proven results business results demonstrating growth in revenue and margin.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

  • Experience with selling chemicals is preferred
