Accomplish system engineering, aircraft integration, flight test and certification activities for Part 23 and Part 25 Cockpit Avionics Systems.
Own the architecture, integration and life-cycle of a single or multiple aircraft systems.
Generate, review, approve and manage various system requirements including but not limited to regulatory, safety, human factors, design, environmental, manufacturing, quality, operational, and service requirements.
Generate and manage detailed technical plan for system engineering and aircraft supplemental type certification (STC) activities.
Conduct various stakeholders meetings to update, track and meet the system function(s) milestones and perform technical risk assessment & mitigations.
Serve as the lead system expert for integration and administrative activities interacting between various organizational departments and certification authorities.
Conduct multi-disciplinary design reviews throughout the different phases of development, certification, and production readiness as required to administrate and communicate system design.
Conduct trade studies, analyses, and test programs to ensure system architectures meet all requirements.
Review and approve engineering drawings, schematics, and design specifications.
Generate, review and approve system and equipment test plans, reports and compliance documentation.
Generate, review and approve flight test plans and flight test reports.
Conduct flight readiness reviews, flight debriefs and post flight analysis as required.
Review and approve the technical publications of avionics including aircraft installation drawings, system interconnect diagrams, pilot guides, and installation/maintenance manuals.
Administrate as required to execute and manage system design projects, testing, certification, production readiness etc.,
Ensure reliability, maintainability and system safety are met through all phases of product conception, development, qualification, certification and entry in to service.
Work with various departments to ensure equipment and low-level designs meet all system and aircraft-level requirements.
Perform various project management tasks as required.
Serve as customer point of contact for all avionics retrofits, modifications and upgrades in integration, installation and certification activities.
Deliver recommendations and be a technical advisor to senior leadership team.

YOU MUST HAVE:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in
Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or
related field and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or
acceptable alternate occupation. Full term of experience must include:
Honeywell Avionics systems development life cycle; architecture, requirements
and product development of aircraft systems including displays, flight
management systems, communication and navigation radios; knowledge of software
development in accordance with RTCA/DO-178 software considerations in airborne
systems and hardware development in accordance with RTCA/DO-254 design assurance
guidance; familiar with high speed digital interfaces such as ARINC 429;
proficient with avionics bus communications standards such as ASCB, CAN and
LAN; managing systems, hardware and software documentation using version and
change management tools such as ClearCase, ClearQuest and DOORS; creating and
reviewing technical schematics, logical and functional diagrams, and
engineering specifications; handling FAA regulations and guidance material and
industry standards; engineering analysis of ASCB flight test data to
investigate flight test observations; expertise in ADS-B systems and standards;
knowledge of avionics and related equipment, technical standard orders, and
minimum performance standards; managing complex sets of requirements; preparing
and presenting design reviews for complex, highly integrated systems; defining
system controls, crew indications, and flight manual procedures; and testing,
including instrumenting, data acquisition, and documenting and analyzing
results. Approximately 50% domestic/international travel required.Additional Information
