As a Sr Systems Engineer - Flight Controls here at Honeywell within Honeywell Flight Systems, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the advancement of Avionics technology, applying your technical expertise to develop innovative solutions for Automatic Flight Control Systems (AFCS).
Join a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex systems within Honeywell Flight Systems, to work on Automatic Flight Controls Systems (AFCS) for our Business, Regional, and General Aviation platforms, for fixed-wing aircraft, helicopter, and future Urban Air Mobility (UAM), including EPIC, Apex, next-gen Anthem Flight Deck, and legacy product lines. You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of automatic flight control systems with involvement in every aspect of the systems lifecycle, from the front end of development through product end of life.
Conduct system analysis, definite system requirements and specifications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of avionics systems
Test and validate flight control systems to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards
Provide technical guidance and support to resolve complex issues related to flight control systems
Systems design
Model-based systems development
Flight test and issue investigation
Requirement analysis and decomposition
Systems validation & verification
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as engineering, science, or technology
6+ years of experience working on Flight Controls, autopilot, Fly-By-Wire or other Avionics engineering programs.

Past Flight Controls, AFCS, autopilot, Fly-By-Wire or related Avionics
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to identify problems and significantly improve or change existing methods and techniques
