This is a Human Factors Systems Engineer position working in the Integrated Avionics Systems supporting HF excellence across current and future products. This role performs human factors analysis and systems design & development for Air Transport, Regional, Business, General Aviation market segments. The selected candidate will be a Human Factors Systems Engineer performing Human Factors analysis, design, evaluation and certification of aerospace products.
Conducting product usability evaluations in desktop, lab, and aircraft flight test environments
Providing regulatory coordination as a HF subject matter expert to help define certification approaches
Analysis of end user acceptance for associated design implementations, to include coordination with various Systems Engineering and Applications (ESEA) teams, Centers of Excellence (COE) product teams and Test subjects (e.g. pilots, maintenance personnel)
Uses expert knowledge of engineering discipline and Honeywell/Industry standards, processes and tools in order to complete and ensure compliance of various projects
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree in Human Factors Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Psychology or related discipline
Minimum 8 years of experience in the Aerospace/NASA Industry
Master's degree in Human Factors Engineering or related discipline preferred
Strong knowledge of systems engineering discipline in product development
Pilots License with Instrument rating preferred
Experience with Pilot evaluations
Experience with a broad variety of aircraft systems a plus
Experience with aircraft installation design preferred
Experience with experiment design methodologies desired
Knowledge of regulatory and industry standards (FAA, RTCA, ARINC, SAE)
Knowledge of software development methods and practices
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a flexible environment with changing priorities and assignments
