Honeywell Lead Analog IC Architect - Remote in Plymouth, Minnesota

Join a team that designs, verifies, integrates, and tests complex products within Honeywell Aerospace. You will develop new products and processes in support of the organization's business strategies. You will be responsible for developing requirements, designing IC solutions, running simulations, synthesis, creating test benches, and preparation of documentation. You will work closely with world class hardware and software engineers during planning, requirements and architecture, design, test, and integration phases of IC Product Development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to translate customer requirements into conceptional solutions and design specifications

  • Architect analog/mixed-signal IC solutions spanning chip-level to cell-level considerations

  • Design to requirements spanning block definitions, schematic creation, and simulation

  • Communication with customers on chip application and system requirements

  • Technical ownership for the analog part of the IC from conceptual work to validation and characterization

  • Organize and participate in design reviews

  • Document all development/design issues, contribute to datasheets, architectural specifications, and development plans

  • Perform feasibility studies and analyze new analog design concepts.

  • Compare competitor solutions and propose differentiating concepts/solutions

  • Act as a lead engineer in complex projects, schedule and take ownership of tasks and proactively report progress to project leaders

  • Accomplish Design integration, testing, analyses, and iterations

  • Plan, design-for, and enable radiation testing of microelectronic circuits


  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering with 6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience

  • US Citizenship is required

  • No Dual Citizenships

  • Previously held USG Secret clearance, or no known barriers to achieve a USG Secret security clearance


  • Ability and willingness to work on-site at Honeywell Aerospace

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering and relevant mixed-signal IC design experience

  • High speed analog/mixed-signal experience

  • Strong design experience using Cadence PDKs

  • Physical design experience including custom circuit layout

  • Knowledge of OS Linux, scripting languages – e.g., Perl, Shell, TCL

  • Laboratory experience (hardware configuration, measurement systems)

  • Low-speed, low-noise, high-precision analog circuit design experience

  • Radiation effects analysis knowledge/experience

  • Verilog working knowledge

  • Advanced node and SOI technology design experience

  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Strong computer and web navigation skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web browsers)

  • Self – starter, motivated and takes initiative and able to lead a small team

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills
