What are we looking for?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operative to join our manufacturing team under our City Technology brand to be based in Portsmouth, England.

What will you be doing?

  • Adhere to, and ensure others adhere to, Health and Safety rules and requirements. Operate in a safe manner. Complete daily safety checks, report and where appropriate correct incidents of unsafe behaviours and conditions.

  • You will produce products to the defined quality standard, consistently operating the process as defined in specifications. Complete and work to CTQ and FAI process controls on time.

  • Strive for and promote attainment of 100% OTTR (On Time To Request).

  • Produce products at the defined rate (productivity).

  • Show initiative and work towards achieving targets, and demonstrate where necessary the flexibility to adapt to changing Customer needs. Work with the Supervisor and Team Leader(s) to achieve these goals in the most effective manner. Perform, where appropriate, and with the correct authorisation, administrative duties in relation to your role. When qualified, and requested conduct training of other operators.

  • Generate, promote and implement ideas for continuous improvement

  • Understand, support and demonstrate HOS Practice

  • Attend and participate in Tier Meetings, involved in discussions.

  • Understanding of Tier Meeting structure and purpose.

You have

  • Experience in a manufacturing production environment

  • Recognize that improvement is a way of life.

  • A high standard of written and spoken English.

  • Understand what you are responsible for and take ownership of actions

  • Follow through on responsibilities to completion

  • Understand who is your customer and the concept that the customer comes first.

  • Aware of Health & Safety Procedures

  • You have strong manual dexterity.
