The IT Director of Architecture and Strategy within the Connectivity team is a key leader in the development and delivery of a comprehensive global network architecture and strategy that encompasses the entire network service portfolio across all Honeywell sites worldwide. The IT Director will lead a global team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to align, develop and deliver contemporary network designs, roadmaps, solutions, standards and services that meet current and future business requirements using emerging and cutting edge network capabilities and functionality.

Job Responsibilities:

·Drive and deliver a comprehensive global network architecture and strategy that encompasses the entire network service portfolio across all Honeywell sites worldwide

·Lead a team of Subject Matter Experts to develop and deliver a comprehensive and contemporary global network architecture and strategy that consolidates Voice, Video and Data networks, usingSoftware Defined Networking, Network Function Virtualization, Automation and Orchestration, Hybrid Clouds, Intent Based Networking, Segmentation, Internet of Things, Edge Intelligence, Predictive and Self Learning Modeling

·Drive the transformation of legacy solutions to contemporary solutions using the Internet, Cloud, XaaS, Open Source, etc.

·Drive the evolution of architectural standards and designs using consistent service standards that are global, agile, scalable and easy to maintain

·Create compelling business cases around problems, outcomes, risks, benefits and the financial justification required to execute on them

·Ensure network solutions that meet cyber safety, compliance and regulatory requirements of the business

·Ensuresolutions conform to network standards, are documented, kept current and keep pace with business demands

·Ensure network solutions arehighly available, redundant, fault tolerant, diverse and affordable

·Drive roadmaps and timelines for new network capabilities and functionality

·Create an Automate first culture that builds in networkoptimization and automation opportunities from the onset, and acceleratesadoption and rollout plans in the existing infrastructure

·Oversee ‘Go-Live’ activities of any design deployment and transition into operational steady state.

·Review and approve major change management requests

·Provide technical and business input for IT infrastructure projects related to voice and data networking, and related technologies. Understand and support global voice technology needs and directions.

·Participate in large scale, multi-functional projects, including product development, merger and acquisition, and divestiture activities, with an open and creative mindset focused on delivering business solutions.

·Act as a trusted advisor with businesses, internal teams, supplier partners, end-users, and solution providers to ensure processes and tools are in place and/or are followed to support the environment and meet business needs

·Understand business processes, and assess business needs to assist with the development and deployment of network services

·Ensure global compliance and support for regulation controlled systems

·Ensure service levels are defined, effective, measured and reported

·Continuously evaluate service levels and ensure results are oriented to customer satisfaction

·Ensure service improvements are defined via metrics, root cause analysis, problem management

·Assist in the governance and partnership with our external suppliers

·Partner with multiple suppliers to deliver services end to end under established SLAs

·Mentor different team members in areas of expertise

·Other responsibilities as needed

Lead IT strategy and assure effective IT delivery for [SBG, Function] within Honeywell. You will be the primary interface to business leaders to define requirements and drive execution of growth and productivity solutions enabled through existing and emerging information technology. You will be a key member of the business leadership team, engaging in all aspects of running the business, with a specialization in the use of technology to fulfill business objectives. You will provide leadership in improving IT process and developing IT team capabilities.

Develop a compelling and contemporary Information Technology strategy and vision that significantly contributes to business growth and profitability

Demonstrate deep understanding of critical business issues and requirements and recommending IT solutions that provide competitive advantage.

Assure IT solutions for the business provide an exceptional user experience, while being compliant and cyber-safe.

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 8+ years’ IT Infrastructure experience managing, securing, operating and supporting Voice and Networking serviceswith a strong focus on IP networking technologies supporting voice, video and data networks
  • Experience developing technology roadmaps, blue prints and tactical to strategic execution plans
  • Experience with insourcing, outsourced and hosted 3rdparty service providers
  • Experience operating international, global and multi-national wide area networks with over 100 sites
  • Experience operating large, complex, business critical and revenue impacting local area networks
  • Experience managing an operating or investment budgets more than $10m annually
  • Hands on experience and expertise with but not limited to following technologies: TCP/IP, IP addressing, Routing Protocols, QOS/COS, Cisco routes/switches, wireless controllers and access points, Checkpoint/Palo Alto Firewalls, Remote Access/VPN, SD Networking, Virtualization, Automation and Orchestration, Intent based Networking, Proactive and Predictive Modeling, Programming and Scripting, Chef, Puppet,VoIP, SIP, Voice Gateways, CODECs, DNS, DHCP, Skype for Business, Geolocation, Load Balancing, IoT, Edge Computing, AI.
  • Experience and knowledge working with Governmental and Country specific regulatory, legal and compliance restrictions regarding telecommunications and data privacy
  • CCNA, CCIE certifications highly preferred
  • Experience managing a team of SMEs which are culturally diverse, globally distributed and technically focused
  • Masters Degree
