Honeywell Pricing Director in Tempe, Arizona

As a Pricing Director here at Honeywell, you will work closely with marketing and product management, engineering, field sales organization, key business partners, and the senior management team to maximize the profitability of the business by systematically employing key pricing levers. You will analyze market drivers and competition to determine the price of new products. You will deliver financial impact by deploying best-in-class marketing tools and framework. You will be part of the recruitment, development, and retention of talented professionals in order to deliver best-in-class performance. You will report directly to our Sr. Director Pricing, Government End Use, and you'll work out of our Tempe, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the company's financial success and competitive advantage in the market. Your expertise in analyzing market trends and the competitive landscape will enable the organization to make informed pricing decisions and capitalize on opportunities. Additionally, your leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams will ensure alignment and drive the achievement of business objectives. Overall, your role will play a crucial part in shaping the company's pricing strategy and driving its financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop best practices for Price Desk operations to standardize, digitize and streamline processes to increase output to meet growth demands of team

  • Establish a management operating system around pricing reporting best practices

  • Lead pricing-related projects including establishing timelines, defining deliverables, and drafting communications or presentations ensuring effective change management

  • Establish and promote the use of metrics to improve program effectiveness; Use structured processes to manage programs/projects

  • Implement business analytics (reporting methodology, tools, and cadence) to support targeted outcomes

  • Ensure consistent reporting and communication of pricing changes, deployments, and progress globally

  • Deliver financial impact from improved net price realization, by deploying best-in-class marketing tools and framework.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 8+ years of transferable work experience

  • 2+ years of relevant pricing experience

  • Prior Government Contracting experience

WE VALUE:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree

  • FAR 15 and FAR 12 experience

  • Strong financial modeling skills as demonstrated by the ability to create pricing structures and P&L analysis with multiple scenarios

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to derive insights from large/abstract data sets and summarize for executive consumption

  • Demonstrated executive-level experience in data management, financial analysis, IT/digital tools

  • Results-focused with a successful record of accomplishments through skilled use of influence, persuasion, negotiation, and problem resolution

  • Experience leading a global team with demonstrated results

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines under pressure

  • Understanding ERPs/data systems

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding linking price and business strategy

  • Price management tools experience preferred: PROS software, Deal Desk, Tableau-based tools

  • Strong self-starter who can manage tasks with little guidance

  • Proactive and proficient communicator with good listening skills

  • Logical thinking ability with problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Proactive in identifying issues and ownership to resolve them

  • Experience working with teams across multiple sites/time zones; ability to develop effective working relationships and highly responsive

  • Advanced capability with Microsoft Excel, SFDC, Propricer, SAP, and Business Intelligence (BI) and Business Objects (BO)
