We have an exciting opportunity within Honeywell Aerospace to join the Commercial Item Justification (CIJ) Center of Excellence (COE). The CIJ COE is a highly integrated team of Engineers and Pricing Analysts serving as a point of contact for commercial item status and support for FAR 12 proposals and purchases under FAR 15 programs.

As part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering and pricing team, you will review diverse products and systems to assert and defend commerciality by FAR 2.101. This position will work cross-functionally with the Integrated Supply Chain, Compliance, Program Engineers, Government Sourcing & Procurement, and Customer Business Teams. This position may interface with suppliers and the US Government.

This role will have responsibilities supporting buy operations and potential exposure supporting sales operations. The CIJ COE operates in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for an energetic individual ready to make an impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze Drawings

  • Drafting of Commercial Item Assertions

  • Design Interpretation

  • Documentation Preparation

  • Requirements & Architecture Review

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, the candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

MUST HAVE

  • 3 years of engineering experience

  • High School Diploma or GED

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering

  • Experience with technical reviews of repairs

  • Experience with mechanical engineering

  • Experience with electrical engineering

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing

  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) / Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)

  • Desire to learn, improve, and deploy cultural changes that drive growth.

  • Can quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts.

  • Individuals who are self-motivated and consistently take the initiative to get things done.

  • Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
