Honeywell Sr Project Leader - PnL (Profit & Loss) in Tempe, Arizona

The Sr Project Leader - PnL (Profit & Loss) will support, manage and direct PnL initiatives for Air and Thermal Systems, Global Business Enterprise (GBE). This individual will be responsible for driving proactive analysis and cross-functional activities to maximize profitability and improve operational efficiency/health of the identified programs. The role serves as an interface between the Product Marketing function, engineering, sourcing, and business representatives as defined by the Product Leaders. Career development will include market sizing & segmentation, competitive analysis, creation of market requirements, value- based pricing, obsolescence and life cycle planning, value stream mapping, scrap & warranty, and metrics management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage strategic cost take out initiatives

  • Perform SKU number rationalization and reduction activities, including management of excess inventory

  • Create and develop value stream maps to identify working capital and efficiency opportunities

  • Conduct market, part number, and customer analysis for products to support the product strategies

  • Contribute ideas to the strategy formulation process to have a positive impact on the product line growth

  • Develop robust product plans to deliver outstanding financial outcomes

  • Have a direct impact on the addition of new products for a fortune 100 company

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing or Engineering

  • Minimum of 3 years of Aerospace product experience via program management, Profit & Loss management, supply chain, finance, engineering, and/or field support

  • Minimum of 6 years of total work experience in business

  • Must be a US Citizen due to ITAR restrictions

WE VALUE

  • PMP certified

  • Data analysis, general analytical skills with some financial acumen and familiarity with using and/or developing databases to conduct analysis 

  • Strong business and production analytical skills, utilizing reporting and analysis tools and critical thinking skills to manage product strategies

  • Advanced degree preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Honeywell systems like SAP, WebPlan (Rapid Response), Business Objects (BO4), AeroPDM, and Aero Obsolescence processes, Green Belt Certification Experience creating and developing Value Stream Maps

  • Requires effective communication, influencing skills, and strong marketing and program management fundamentals

  • Basic understanding of marketing processes, principles and tools such as customer value management and pricing

  • Proven ability to collaborate across product lines and technologies to develop joint strategies and roadmaps 

  • Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills

  • Assumes ownership and accountability for areas of responsibility a plus

  • Results oriented - take actions and implement effective solutions in a timely manner

  • Ability to connect and inspire others with a track record of leading projects and cross-functional teams that successfully achieve milestones and complete deliverables

  • Ability to be decisive and logical at thoroughly evaluating issues

  • Excellent planning, execution and project-management skills 

  • A team player and builder, receptive to ideas from others

  • Shares information and keeps team members and partners informed. Works effectively with others to identify and resolve issues

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interact successfully with all levels of management as well as a diverse work force
