Honeywell located in Torrance, CA. has an opening for a Senior Health, Safety & Environmental Engineer.

The salary range for this position is ($98,000 - $147,200). The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.

  • Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly.

  • Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating environmental policy and procedure manuals.

  • Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.

  • Serves as contact with all federal, state, and local regulatory bodies.

  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

  • Works under immediate supervision of the Torrance HSE&F Manager.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• 5 years of directly related experience in Health, Safety and Environmental practice.

• Strong experience with occupational health and safety/injury and illness prevention

  WE VALUE:

• Certifications in safety and/or industrial hygiene (CIH or CSP)

• Bachelor of Science degree in Health, Safety, Environmental, Industrial Hygiene or related discipline

• Master’s degree in occupational health and safety

• Experience in aerospace or manufacturing

• Strong leadership skills

• A strong team player

• Experience with environmental programs (Title V, Storm Water, Waste Water, EPCRA Emergency Planning & Community Right to Know Act)

• Experience with OSHA safety regulations

• Experience with Industrial Hygiene Practices

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and Visio
