Honeywell Manufacturing Engineer II in Woonsocket, Rhode Island

Be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to develop, implement, and maintain methods and processes in manufacturing or fabricating parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. Using your technical expertise, you will estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. You will add value and expertise to the business by sustaining support and identifying cost reduction and yield improvement opportunities.

Solve problems where analysis of a situation is required in order to meet the requirements of the customer. Uses problem analysis to help in developing new process and procedures. Provide analysis of data in support of product and process improvements and/or quality improvements. Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.

This role is 100% on-site at our Woonsocket Rhode Island Location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop processes that improve product quality as seen by the customer.

• Develop processes that improve internal yields throughout the manufacturing process.

• Promote HOS / Lean initiatives.

• Develop reliable cost-effective processes for New Products on time to budget that meet forecast demand at planned cost to agreed quality standards.

• Reduce direct and indirect costs within manufacturing.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Mechanical /Manufacturing/Process Engineering Degree or equivalent

• Experience in process/ manufacturing engineering.

• Direct experience of implementing 6/lean methodologies and techniques to promote a continuous improvement culture.

• Extensive use of lean manufacture and Six Sigma tools to improve Quality, Delivery, and Cost

• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering or related field

• 3+ years’ Experience in manufacturing engineering

We Value:

• Working knowledge of SAP MRP and Teamcenter PLM Software.

• Experience using CAD / 3d modeling software.

• Cause identification/FMEA experience.

• Capability to apply broad knowledge of one professional discipline or advanced knowledge of specific technical/operational practices.

• Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment.
